Abbas Chosen as President Elect

The ILPA membership has selected Ron Abbas to serve as President Elect for 2009.
A native of New Hampton IA, Mr. Abbas served in the United States Army from 1969-1971. After his military service Ron attended the University of Dubuque.
Mr. Abbas has been with Paul Niemann Construction Company, Sumner, IA since 1984 and currently serves as the company's General Manager.
He has served on, and is a past chair of, the ILPA Safety Committee, ILPA Aglime Committee, ILPA Technical Committee and the Iowa Department of Transportation's Iowa Quality Initiative Aggregates (IQI) Subcommittee.
Married for 32 years, Ron has 4 children and 3 grandchildren.
