A familiar face to many ILPA members, Joe has been very active in environmental and plant permitting issues facing the aggregate industry. Through the years he has been a source of information to many in the environmental compliance profession. Joe graduated from Benedictine College in 1971 with a degree in Political Science. After Benedictine he went on to get a master's degree in Counseling from Northwestern Missouri State University. In 1995 he completed his doctorate degree in Education from Iowa State University. His aggregate experience began at Weaver Construction where he worked until they were acquired by Martin Marietta Materials. In 1993 he joined Cessford Construction and now serves as Environmental Compliance/Safety and Human Resource Manager for the Cessford Construction division of Oldcastle Materials. Joe is active in various construction associations including the Associated General Contractors of Iowa and the Asphalt Paving Association of Iowa. He has spent more than 10 years on the ILPA Environmental Committee serving as chair for several years. He has also served on the ILPA Safety Committee. Todd A. Scott is ILPA's President Elect
A native of Fredricksburg, IA, Mr. Scott graduated from the University of Iowa with a degree in Political Science and Economics in 1991. Todd went on to study at Drake Law School and received his Juris Doctorate Degree in 1996. Scott is a member of the Johnson County, the Iowa State and the American Bar Associations. He serves as the Co-Chair of the American Citizen Committee for the Sixth Judicial District of Iowa. He is also a member on various environmental and safety committees for the Iowa State Bar Association, the AGC of Iowa, NSSGA, and the ILPA. In 2002 he was appointed by Governor Vilsack to represent the Mines and Minerals Industry on the Iowa State Soil Conservation Commission. In March of 2008 he was appointed Chair of the National Stone Sand and Gravel Association's Council of Council. Doug Martin and Tim Walsh Join ILPA Board ILPA members voted to have Doug Martin and Tim Walsh join the ILPA Board of Directors. Doug has been involved in the construction industry for 23 years. He is currently the Sales manager for Wendling Quarries. Tim has been with Linwood Mining and Minerals Corporation for 16 years. He is the Production Manager for Calcium Products and Vice President of Sales for AMSCO, the company's fly ash division. Tim has a BA from Clark College in Dubuque and a Masters of Business Administration from St Ambros College in Davenport.
